ACLT provide support for people in desperate need of a bone marrow donor. It’s shocking but it’s true, your chances of finding a lifesaving bone marrow donor ARE much more worse if you’re BLACK or Mixed Race…because there are 24 times more white people than black people on UK bone marrow registers.

We want to say a big thank you all our clients, friends and family who sponsored us for competing in the the Adidas Women’s 5K Challenge in September, which was completed by our Silk Trends co-owner and newbie runner Dionne, who had the mammouth task of getting herself fit in time for the race, and fianlly completed the race in 27:58 mins.

With your help we managed to raise an amazing £370, which will help the charity increase awareness of the need for Bone Marrow and Blood donors especially with the Black, Asia and Mixed Heritage communities.
