Junior Stylist Required at Silk Trends

FANTASTIC OPPORTUNITY FOR JUNIOR HAIR STYLIST WITH AFRO, EUROPEAN & MIXED TEXTURED HAIRDRESSING EXPERIENCE

 

Award winning salon Silk Trends are expanding their team and require a fresh new inspiring Hairdresser who is looking for opportunities to progress their career:

 

JUNIOR HAIR STYLIST – Passionate, and enthusiastic Hairdressers who have excellent people skills and committed to expanding their career aspirations, and want to be well rewarded and appreciated for all the hard work and great things you do.  A forward thinking individual with previous experience of providing quality hairdressing services for people from all walks of life.

 

We cater for all hair types so you must be accomplished at cutting, colouring, relaxing/perming and styling Afro, European and Mixed-textured hair.  Must have at least 2 years commercial experience.  Experience with weaving/hair extensions is a plus.  Experience with Brazilian Keratin Hair Systems is a plus, but not necessary as training will be provided.

 

You will be committed to providing high level customer service and strive to exceed our customers’ expectations.  You must be very pro-active in improving personal and technical skills and enthusiastic about continuous career develop.  You must be well presented, and understand that PUNCTUALITY is KEY to our business success.

 

 

PLEASE NOTE: This is part-time position (working 2 to 3 days a week for the right person).  This will definitely include working on a Saturday and at least two late evenings on Thursdays and Fridays).

 

QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED:

Junior Hair Stylists – Must have completed NVQ Level 2 Hairdressing, and currently studying towards NVQ Level 3 Hairdressing or willing to study towards NVQ Level 3 Hairdressing (e.g. attend college 1 day per week while working), and have minimum 2 years commercial experience.

 

** You will only be considered for a Stylist position if you have completed NVQ Level 3 Hairdressing Qualifcation and have the relevant level of experience. If you have recently completed NVQ Level 2 Hairdressing and have less than 2 years commercial experience or no commercial experience at all we may consider you for one of our APPRENTICE HAIRDRESSER positions.**

 

SALARY INFORMATION:

Negotiable depending on level and experience

 

LANGUAGE REQUIREMENTS:

Must speak fluent English (whether as first or second language).

 

VISA REQUIREMENTS:

Must be a UK citizen or have a valid work permit (Student Visa or Holiday visa will not be accepted).

 

REFERENCES REQUIRED:

Two references will be required if you are a successful candidate.
