Greetings from you friendly blogger at Silk Trends.

Hey everbody my name is Simone and this is my first blog post for the new Silk Trends blog. Over the coming months I will be giving you the low down on anything and everything hair related, and I thought I would just write you lovely people this short post to introduce myself.

I’ve been a blogger for the last four years, and have recently started working at Silk Trends as their friendly receptionist and resident blogger, and I’ll be keeping my eye on the scene so I can bring you what’s hot and what’s not in the world of hair.

I love to write. In fact I love to read and write so much that I decided to do a part time degree in English literature and language. I’m very passionate about books and the power of words along with the power of knowledge.  Before I became a member of the Silk Trends team I had never written about anything aside from my own adventures on life and so writing about hairdressing world is very new to me. Being a person that wants to have as many different experiences in my life as possible I jumped at the opportunity to do something different and broaden my horizon.

Although I don’t have a previous salon background, the more I find out about hairdressing, the more I find it fascinating. So I know I am sincerely going to enjoy writing to you all about it.
